It's amazing to me how in a world of vast technology, a place where men have conquered the most unforgiving frontiers of earth, but beyond that many have yet to conquer the familiar terrain of home! Men are capable of moving mountains in order to mine the earth’s ore, yet they are unable to remove the character flaws that prevent them from leading effectively. They forge this iron into solid blocks of steel, then turn it and cut it into small portions with microscopic precision, forming it into powerful tools. Men engineer and build massive skyscrapers, such as the Twin Towers, then bring them down with one act of terror! They harness the sheer might of rivers by building modern marvels like the Hoover Dam and cross great bodies of water with bridges, such as the Golden Gate Bridge. They are able to command and lead massive armies to conquer nations and direct million dollar corporations with innovative creativity, yet, have difficulty leading their own family.Why is this so? It is because men have been trained, equipped, and resourced to perform all these various tasks, but when it comes to being a good husband, their fathers and father’s father have failed to pass on the most essential of all life’s skills: the ability to lead their home.

At Hope Alive, we aim to equip you to be an effective leader within your home while challenging you and speaking to as a man! We begin our journey on an Encounter weekend, confronting face to face those things that hinder and prevent us from being the Godly men Jesus created us to be! Next, in cell groups, we make personal life applications to the teachings of Christ. We encourage and hold one another accountable for our effectiveness, or lack of, within our homes. In the School of Leaders men are thoroughly trained and equipped to be the Godly influencers that God has called them to be, not only of their families, but also of cities and nations.
